Individual therapy
About My Work
I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy, a type of evidence-based therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and patterns of relating to others have developed over time. Together, we will explore your life experiences and relationships to understand how they may contribute to the challenges you face today.
This approach can help you gain insight, resolve emotional conflicts, and make changes that last, giving you more freedom and confidence in your daily life and relationships.
What I Treat
I work with individuals experiencing:
· Depression and low mood
· Anxiety and worry
· Relationship difficulties
· Identity struggles
· Personality disorders
· Trauma and unresolved loss
· Experiences relating to psychosis
Training & Experience
I am registered with PACFA and have worked in both private practice and residential treatment settings, supporting people experiencing severe mental health difficulties. In addition to my undergraduate and graduate studies in philosophy and counselling, I am currently completing a PhD in psychology and have undertaken advanced professional training, including:
· Intensive psychoanalytic psychotherapy program (William Alanson White Institute)
· Psychodynamic psychotherapy fellowship (Psychoanalytic Institute of New England)
· Specialized training in psychotherapy for psychosis (Psychoanalytic Association of New York)
· General Psychiatric Management for borderline personality disorder (McLean hospital/Harvard medical school )
I also receive weekly supervision from a psychiatrist/psychoanalyst and collaborate closely with other clinicians when needed.
Fees & Practicalities
Sessions are 50-minutes, and the fee is $130. Once or twice weekly sessions are available. If meeting twice a week the fee can be re-negotiated. While I don’t offer Medicare rebates, this is the same out-of-pocket cost that you would pay once the rebate is applied.
I offer both in-person and online sessions.
I look forward to meeting you and exploring the possibility of working together.
Let’s begin
Please submit your basic personal information and we can arrange an initial consultation to explore the suitability of working together.
I am committed to providing therapy to those who truly seek it, and never want money to be a barrier to treatment. If you are experiencing financial hardship we can establish a rate that is feasible.
